Blythe Thomas infuses her yoga classes with her love for asana, philosophy and her experience in the healing power yoga offers the body and mind.  Having completed her initial training at Core Power, Blythe's classes include restorative poses and practices from various lineages including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Anusara and Kundalini, making for a well-balanced, harmonious experience appropriate for all levels of practitioners.

Chris Muchow is an Anusara-Inspired Teacher with over 1,100 hours of training and is currently contemplating finishing his certification (when he gets around to it).  He has been teaching in the Denver area since 2002.  He is a dedicated and loving student of John Friend and Amy Ippoloiti , whom he adores more than brand new socks!
Eric Stauffer is profoundly thankful to have found Ashtanga Yoga and the kind and devoted teachers that have helped him in learning this system,  Pattabhi Jois,  R.Sharath Jois, Tim Miller and Richard Freeman.  Having earned a Ph.D. in structural mechanics in 1993 his teaching style is informed by an academic and practical understanding of the dynamics of motion and breath.

Harjot Kaur
has been practicing yoga for most of her life, but only found Kundalini four years ago.  In the last four years of practice, the transformation inspired her to complete teacher training in order to share this life changing practice.  Since then, she has completed multiple Kundalini Yoga Trainings and is so happy to bring this practice to the community and to help people connect with their inner truth.

Joan Isbell is authorized to teach Ashtanga Yoga by R. Sharath Jois at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Mysore, India.  She made her first trip to Mysore in 1998, and has studied extensively with Richard Freeman, Tim Miller and Annie Pace.  Her teaching style is straight forward, gentle and encouraging.  Her hands-on approach is informed by her background as a massage therapist.  In addition, Joan studies traditional Indian raga and devotional singing with Kabir.  She enjoys playing the harmonium, singing and chanting.  Visit www.ashtangayogadenver.com to learn more.

Karen Lerner has taught various modalities of fitness and dance since 1981 and began her yoga journey in 1997.  In 2002 she received her first 250 hour yoga teacher training certification from Hansa Knox. Since then, she has studied Anusara Yoga with Mahduri Martin and John Friend. In the summer of 2006 Karen received a scholarship from The University of Denver to study yoga in Israel is Orit Sen Gupta, and Torah Yoga with Diane Bloomfield. In October 2006, she attended Level One training with Tias Little. In May 2007, she received a 300 hour certification in the Jivamukti method founded by David Life and Sharon Gannon. Karen also holds certification in Postural Alignment and Pain Management from Egoscue. She completed Kiran training with Jai Uttal in July 2008 and Restorative Yoga Certification with Judith Lasater. Karen also designs custom jewelry. Visit her website at www.karenlerner.com.

Laura Kathka received most of her initial training in ashrams and while traveling in India and SE Asia.  With 13 years of practice and over 2000 hours of training in schools, studios and ashrams nationally and internationally, Laura has been teaching yoga for six years.  In addition to being the founder and director of- and a teacher at Amala, Laura (who is a kinda-looney-Kundalini Yogini at heart) also teaches adaptive yoga classes to people with Parkinson's Disease,  for the Parkinson Association of the Rockies; to sixth-graders, and to teen moms for The Wellness Initiative; she continues her studies with Hansa Knox and Patricia Hansen at Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala, where she also serves as an instructor for the 265-hour teacher training course; and she is a current (and grateful!) student in her first Anusara Immersion, with Cindy Lusk and Patrick Montgomery.... through the practice of which she was thrilled to discover that she can move her pinkie toe!

Nate Mohler has been involved with martial arts training for 20 years.  He holds the rank of Godan, as well as the title of Sensei, in Shuri-Ryu Karate-Do.  He has trained Taijiquan (Tai Chi) for 11 years in both the Yang and Chen Styles and has taught the 24-Forms Tai Chi to people of all ages and backgrounds.  In addition to his martial arts training, Nate is a licensed acupuncturist and combines his knowledge of Chinese philosophy and healing with his classes.

Shannon Fiedler's belief in the power of yoga to change lives is what keeps yoga alive in her heart.  She graduated from 200 hour teacher training at Green Mountain Yoga in 2007 and completed her advanced 500 hours at Prana Yoga and Ayurveda Mandala in 2009.  While exploring the path of yoga under the guidance of many amazing teachers, Shannon continues to incorporate her experiences into discovering a meaningful way to share yoga with others.

Tara Emrick, MSW, CYT was introduced to yoga through dear friends in San Francisco. Her yoga practice began in 2006 after losing her younger brother, Matt. Yoga became an integral part of her grief journey, allowing her a safe place to sit with her sorrow and pain. Tara and her husband, Bryan, moved back to Denver in 2007 to be close to her family and the community who knew and loved Matt. In 2008, Tara and Bryan became proud parents of their daughters, Selecia and Adalea, through the Denver County foster-to-adopt program. After a year and a half of being a full-time mom, Tara was ready to deepen her yoga practice. With the loving support of Bryan and her family, Tara completed the 265-hour Contemplative Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program with Karin Bustamante and Hansa Knox at PranaYoga and Ayurveda Mandala (pyamandala.com) in Denver. Through the wise counsel of many, Tara found a way to combine her background in grief research done for her Master's Thesis, her personal grief experience, and her love and appreciation for the practice of Hatha Yoga. Thus was born Grace Grief Yoga.

Tracy Revell has been in the fitness business for over 24 years; she began working in a small women’s fitness center teaching aerobics at age 16, and continued to teach throughout college.  But she threw her back out when she was only 25 years old, and so began her journey of body-mind-spirit alignment and the exploration of healing one's body with true intrinsic strength, balance and grace.  This is when she dicovered Nia, opening up a whole new world.  Through Nia, Tracy's background in fitness integrated fully with the mindful and spiritual work she was discovering.  A black-belt Nia instructor, Tracy says this dynamic practice "saved my life, changed my life, gave me my life".
